  • Elwha River Lawsuit Update

    On March 9th, Brian Knutsen presented an oral argument before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of the Wild Steelhead Coalition, The Conservation Angler, the Federation of Fly Fishers Steelhead Committee, and Wild Fish Conservancy about the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe’s hatchery on the Elwha River.

The campaign is a collaborative creation that features a six-episode film series produced by Shane Anderson that explores the rise and fall of angling for wild steelhead in Washington and asks anglers to take action and bring back Steelhead Country.

    Seafood Watch claims wild steelhead harvested from the Olympic Peninsula are a “Good Alternative” and a sustainable fish choice. The data says otherwise. It’s time we speak up and tell Seafood Watch to take OP wild steelhead off the menu!

  • Want to fish the Skagit next spring? Attend a hearing tomorrow in support of WDFW revenue

    The fishing might be tough these days, but as anglers we have a responsibility to help fund the management and conservation of our state’s fish and wildlife. We have the chance to do help make that happen tomorrow in Olympia at a hearing about House Bill 1647.
