Comments to ODFW Regarding the Proposed Umpqua River Rule Changes
In 2007, there was a proposal by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to increase the allowable harvest for wild steelhead in the main stem and North Fork Umpqua. WSC stepped in with a recommendation that opposed the proposal and called for a ban on the wild steelhead kill fishery in the Umpqua system. This is the original letter sent to ODFW.
